The silhouettes represent the 6 boys who performed. We traced their bodies onto butcher paper, painted them black, and then added words from their writings using a white paint pen. I love these. They were hung from the gym's balcony for the performance. After the show, Aspen asked to take his home. Remember when Aspen was all about saying no? Yup.
The Clearly Human sculptures involved each girl shrink wrapping her torso, with the aid of her classmates. The next step is to use clear packing tape to hold it all in place. I then cut them out of what is now a corset. We tape it back together and the girls fill the insides of the sculpture with secrets and all the things we would know IF we REALLY knew them. The outsides are decorated in the things they choose to show the world and the things we THINK we know about them.
